Howe Insurance Services:

HIS specializes in Final Expense Life Insurance. We represent many different insurance companies which enables us to satisfy the need for final expense life insurance for almost any Senior Citizen in the United States. In 2013 we are celebrating our Thirty-Second Anniversary.


Office Staff:


Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Don Howe, CLU, ChFC, is the President and Founder of Howe Insurance Services. Don is a Vietnam Era Veteran having spent four years in the United States Air Force. Upon his return to civilian life he completed 3 years of graduate level studies to earn the designations "Chartered Life Underwriter" and "Chartered Financial Consultant." Don spent more than two decades in insurance sales. He knows how to meet the needs of the Senior Market. He has won numerous awards from many top name insurance companies. Don Howe is a voracious reader and dedicated educator. He designed and implemented the proprietary National Agent Training Program which has led to HIS being a leader in the Final Expense Market. In 1979 Don married his lovely wife, Vickie, and together they've had ten children and eight grandchildren.

President and Chief Operations Officer
Tim Howe, President and COO of Howe Insurance Services, began his career in the insurance business in 1995. Tim has worked in both the Marketing Division and in the Home Office. While in the Marketing Division of HIS, Tim won numerous awards for his ability to match the right life insurance program with the right client. As President and COO, his responsibilities include overseeing the Office Personnel, recruitment, and managing the proprietary National Agent Training Program. Tim designed our very successful agents' mentoring and Team Builders program. Tim serves his local community by being a contributing member of his church. Tim married his beautiful wife, Meagan, in 2006 and they currently have two children.


Home Office Personnel

Scott Berninger earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Arizona State University in 1995. He then spent seven years in the technical industry as a Software Engineer. In 2005 Scott came on board with Howe Insurance Services where he works in art and design production, payroll, procedural development and office automation. Scott married his beautiful bride, Ruth, in December, 2002. They are blessed with four children. Scott enjoys gardening and graphic designing.

Helena Howe joined the HIS team in 2000. Helena embodies the "esprit de corps" for which Howe Insurance Services is known. Helena works in the Public Relations Department, manages the Supply Department, and assists in the National Agent Training Program. As new agents come on board with HIS, Helena sets up their business cards, web site access and email accounts. She continues agent support once they are out in the field with the goal of making each agent successful. Helena enjoys cooking and international travel.

Logan Howe has been with Howe Insurance Services since 1999. He has experience in both the Marketing Division of HIS and as Home Office Staff. Logan heads up the HIS Web Site Design and Web Site Maintenance Departments. Because of his time in the Marketing Division, Logan is also very effective in agent support and development. He is head of the Creative Designs Department and does the layout for Brochures and Graphics. Logan enjoys flying, photography and horticulture.

Ted Paul graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors degree in Business, specializing in Information Technology and an Associates degree in Computer Networking. In January 2007, after teaching university level computer networking classes, he was hired by Howe Insurance Services. Ted manages many of our projects including business systems optimization, information system infrastructure, and conference planning. He is an avid reader and student of personal development. He regularly attends church and in 2010 married his beautiful wife, Anne.

Kendall McKinney brings to Howe Insurance Services her years of administrative support with many different non-profit organizations. Her experience in media production, children's program development and team building have helped her to acclimate quickly to the "team environment" at HIS, where she's currently responsible for the processing of client applications and client referrals. She also works with the day to day office and agent support. In her spare time Kendall enjoys photography and cooking.

Tasha McKinney joined the Howe Insurance Services in 2009. Prior to working with HIS, she had climbed the corporate ladder to become the administrative assistant for the Vice President of a company with annual sales in excess of One Billion Dollars. Tasha currently heads up our Hiring division, and is in charge of new agent interviews. She plays a major role in helping new agents complete their licensing and training. Tasha is married to Duane who is one of HIS's District managers; they have eight children and three grandchildren.
